This message is for YOU prospective D39C parent! As with so many facets of life, TIMING IS EVERYTHING. Though you may be gearing up to s-l-o-w down, stuff your face at Thanksgiving, then waddle your way into the holiday spirit, a little preparation NOW will go a LONG way if you want your child to have the BEST CHANCE OF GETTING INTO Design39Campus next year.
Though parents don’t register for OTHER PUSD schools until May, the D39C lottery takes place every March or April. Prospective students must submit a lottery application during the month of January in order to be eligible for the lottery. To submit a lottery application, you must EITHER live in one of the 7 CFD’s eligible to attend the school OR be in escrow in one of these CFD’s (Community Facility Districts) by the last day to apply for the lottery (usually the last Friday in January).
I know – you’re barely keeping up with activities, homework (unless you are a current D39C parent!), work & kids. We get it! There are so many important details we have to share.If you start looking at homes at the end of November, get into escrow sometime in December, and close in January, you will be all set to apply for the 2017-2018 lottery. Our anecdotal experience has shown us that your best chance of getting into the school is the year your child starts kindergarten.
